Centers

34. Scouting Report. Center. 83 overall in 2K19. 21. player. Pick Analysis. Hassan Whiteside

Ah, Hassan Whiteside. The gifted giant with the skills of a 90 overall that plays like a 75. Or at least he did in Miami. It long felt like 2K gave Whiteside a middling rating out of respect of his natural abilities, expecting him to eventually get it together. However, Miami’s intense culture is not for everyone and it seemed to have taken a toll on Whiteside.

He’ll likely enter the year with the same overall and one last chance to prove himself. No longer can the “change of scenery” rhetoric be used if he under-performs in Portland. Conversely, perhaps the leadership of Lillard and long time friendship with McCollum is all he needed to help motivate himself back to his full potential. Regardless, it’s going to be incredibly fun jacking up shots with the Portland Trail Blazers stars while Whiteside reels in offensive boards and showcases highlight blocks.

Projected Overall: 83

Scouting Report. Jusuf Nurkic. Pick Analysis. Center. 85 overall in 2K19. 27. player. 34

Unfortunately, Jusuf Nurkic will be unavailable to use right out the gate for those that enjoy online play, MyLeague or MyGM. However he’s still just 24-years-old and likely would have made another big leap in his game next year if not for his devastating leg injury. Out of respect, 2K should toss Nurkic a bone here and let him retain his former rating. After a full year’s worth of recuperation, Nurkic should be a whole new (Bosnian) beast in 2020.

Projected Overall: 85 (when healthy)
