With very little cap room to maneuver, nobody could have expected the flurry of moves the Portland Trail Blazers would make during this free agency period.

Cap-strapped and only holding one late first-round draft pick, most fans expected this to be a quite offseason for the Portland Trail Blazers while many members of last year’s playoff run departed for more money elsewhere.

To everyone’s surprise, the Blazers have made big splash after big splash. The first 48 hours of free agency have been a social media whirlwind of breaking news and insider rumors.

Instead of a quiet offseason, the Blazers thus far have made two impact trades, signed five players and spent well over $200 million dollars. The organization is clearly committed to keeping the team competitive despite any financial strain and entertaining the fanbase for years to come.

Let’s dive in and analyze how the decisions made this summer will affect the Portland Trail Blazers next year and for years to come.

This article will be updated with any new transactions and news.
