Talen Horton-Tucker: Iowa State, Guard/Forward

As one of the draft’s youngest prospects, Talen Horton-Tucker is arguably the draft’s most intriguing prospect. The biggest unknown is what position he would play. Even in today’s game of position less basketball, he straddles the line between guards and forward. He stands at 6’4″, but has a wingspan of 7’1″ and weighs a beefy 235 pounds.

His game is also unknown. He uses his frame and ball handling skills to create lanes to the basket, and uses his strength to finish at the basket. But what is most intriguing about Horton-Tucker is his defensive upside. If he loses weight and gains lateral quickness, he should be able to defend the one through four. With his age and physical tools, Horton-Tucker can be a player that could be molded into almost anything. If the Blazers believe that he can fit within their system, we could be the ones molding him next year.
