The playoffs are underway and the draft odds are officially set, so it’s time for another 2019 NBA Mock Draft.

Now that the playoffs are officially underway, the landscape of the upcoming NBA Draft is becoming clearer. The New York Knicks, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Phoenix Suns are the top three teams with a chance at the number one overall pick in the lottery and likely Zion Williamson.

As for the Portland Trail Blazers, they will be officially selecting 25th overall. The Blazers finished the regular season with the same record as the Houston Rockets, but they won the tiebreaker and we’re awarded selection number 25 as a result. The 26th pick belonged to the Rockets but will convey to the Cavaliers due to the trade that dumped the contracts of Brandon Knight and Marquese Chriss at the trade deadline.

We are going to list each selection for the first round of the draft, and I will break down certain selections in depth.

Without further ado, let’s get started.

Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Virginia. Ty Jerome. player. 89. Shooting Guard. 30

Under Mike Budenholzer, the Milwaukee Bucks have thrived as an elite three-point shooting team. They finished the regular season with the second most made three-pointers in the NBA.

Surrounding Giannis Antetokounmpo with players who could space the floor has worked out perfectly, so with the last pick in the first round, they select Ty Jerome another talented shooter.

Jerome has experience playing in big games and can contribute right away. He does not turnover the basketball and is a smart overall player.

Center is a higher priority due to the impending free agency of Brook Lopez and the Thon Maker trade. However, there is no obvious fit for Budenholzer’s system here, so Jerome is the pick.
