With the regular season wrapping up, it is time to hand out season awards for the Portland Trail Blazers.
The Portland Trail Blazers are wrapping up a successful regular season. Even though the season-ending injury to Jusuf Nurkic severely limits Portland’s chances in the playoffs, winning 50 games in the Western Conference is still a nice accomplishment.
So with the season winding down, it is time to hand out season awards for the roster. I am going to select the team’s MVP, Defensive Player of the Year, Most Improved Player, and Sixth Man of the Year. Then I will break down each pick and give my honorable mention.
I decided not to hand out a Rookie of the Year Award since Anfernee Simons and Gary Trent Jr. rarely saw the court, so it is hard to choose between the two of them. Also, I am not handing out a Coach of the Year Award for obvious reasons.
Let’s get started.
