This is a strange outcome for the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Cavaliers have been linked to RJ Barrett and Zion Williamson all season long, but both of those players are off the board at this point. The Cavaliers do not need to be targeting a point guard. Collin Sexton struggled early on as a rookie, but he still has potential and has been shooting the ball well from three (39.2%), but he should not impede the front office from a franchise altering prospect.

However, the Cavaliers need a blue chip prospect, and Morant is definitely one. He has athleticism that rivals Zion Williamson and is arguably the best passer to enter the draft since Ben Simmons.
Morant  has been dominating the Ohio Valley Conference averaging 24.3 points, 10.2 assists, and 2 steals with a field percentage of 49.9%. He is unstoppable once he gets in the lane and has displayed great defensive instincts. The only knock against Morant is his lack of competition at Murray State, but the upcoming NCAA tournament can give him a shot to prove himself. We have seen small school guards like Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum thrive in the NBA, and Morant should continue that pattern.
