Enes Kanter

Like Teodosic, Enes Kanter is a very offensive-minded player. Kanter is a great scorer in the post and is very efficient with his offensive touches. He shoots 57.8% on shot attempts from less than 10 feet away from the basket. Kanter has also experimented with shooting threes this season, but he is only shooting 31.8% so far.

Defensively, Kanter has been a huge problem. He cannot guard opposing perimeter players which allows offenses to exploit him consistently in the pick and roll. Devin Booker called out Kanter’s poor defense after the Suns defeated the Knicks in a December matchup.

Kanter averaged 10.5 rebounds for the Knicks this season and is fifth in the NBA in rebounds per 36 minutes (minimum 20 games played).

Kanter is a quality NBA player. It is up to the Blazers front office whether they feel that his defensive shortcomings are worth the risk.
