According to recent reports, Reggie Bullock may be available on the trade market. Here are three reasons why the Portland Trail Blazers should pursue him via trade.
Vincent Ellis of the Detroit Free Press recently wrote an article analyzing if the Detroit Pistons should trade Reggie Bullock. It included this particularly noteworthy excerpt:
"But what if Bullock brings more value as a trade chip before the Feb. 7 deadline? A Pistons source told the Free Press recently Bullock, along with backup point guard Ish Smith, is garnering trade interest."
Bullock is an impending free agent, and the Pistons may want to acquire some assets for him before he hits the open market. In addition, the Pistons desperately need to add depth and they do not have much money to spend after acquiring Blake Griffin‘s large contract last season.
The Pistons traded away their 2018 first round pick to the LA Clippers in the previously mentioned Griffin trade. Stanley Johnson and Henry Ellenson have also failed to meet their draft day expectations, so the Pistons need to acquire assets.
Could the Portland Trail Blazers be one of the teams interested in Bullock? It is no secret that the Blazers have needed to upgrade their wing rotation for some time. The offensive struggles of Maurice Harkless and Al-Farouq Aminu against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday night only further highlighted the problem.
With the trade deadline rapidly approaching, now is the time for the front office to make a deal, and Bullock would be a perfect fit for the Blazers. Here are three reasons why.
