With the trade deadline rapidly approaching, we are going to give our 2019 NBA trade deadline predictions and analysis for the Portland Trail Blazers.

The Portland Trail Blazers currently sit at 4th in the Western Conference. After an unsettling stretch in November and December, the team seems to be back on track and maybe even better than before. They have won nine out of their last thirteen games and seem poised to land home court advantage once again. In fact, a win over the Thunder last night would have moved them into 3rd place in the West.

Nevertheless, some of the same old concerns remain. This still a team with only one All-Star. They need help on the wing. The defense needs to improve. For Portland to become a legit title contender, they need to address these issues. If the front office plays their cards right, the Blazers could find themselves being a much more dangerous team in the playoffs.

Neil Olshey and the front office has been quiet around the trade deadline in the past, but they are willing to make a move if they feel it is necessary. Trading for Jusuf Nurkic at the 2017 trade deadline turned out to be a fantastic move, and the Blazers are currently much better because of it.

So, will Portland address some of those previously mentioned concerns at the trade deadline? What should they do? Who should be untouchable? Who should be on the trade block? What big names around the league will be moved?  Who have they been linked to?

Our team of writers here at Rip City Project will answer all those questions and more.
