Jusuf Nurkic could be the Portland Trail Blazers second star

When Nurkic first came to Portland and contracted Nurk-Fever, he followed that up with an inconsistent season the next year. Many figured his short burst was just a flash in the pan.

There’s really one of two things going on here: either Nurkic really is capable of playing like Nurk-Fever Nurk for an entire season, or we’re seeing yet another flash with inconsistency to come in the near future.

During the first Nurk-Fever that swept the Northwest, the Blazers went 13-6, a surge that helped them enter the playoffs. So, even if it is just a flash, it’s one that can help carry the Blazers to achieve their goals and have a chance at redemption from their embarrassing first round defeat last year.

With Nurkic playing at such a high level, the Blazers should see where riding the hot hand takes them.
