Was it meant to be?

Maybe the win for the Blazers was meant to be – who knows! We do know that the Warriors had an awful shooting night, Nurkic came alive, Curry hit a ridiculous shot that would’ve won the game had he just been in-bounds, and Lillard had to hit a big, disorganized three-pointer all to edge out a one-point win in overtime.

Perhaps, though, the Basketball Gods were smiling down on the Trail Blazers and willing them to win their final regular season matchup against the Warriors in Oracle Arena. As it’s been reported, the Warriors are moving to the San Francisco Chase Center next season, and this will be Oracle’s 47th and last year of service.

Seems a sinister thing to do, for the Basketball Gods to destine visitors to win on the Warriors esteemed home court. But hey, I’m not one to argue with destiny.

The Blazers come out of Oakland for the final time in the regular season with a big win on the backs of big performances.

Coming up next, the Portland Trail Blazers will take on the Golden State Warriors again. This time, the matchup takes place at the Moda Center at 7:00 P.S.T. on December 29.
