With recent reports revealing that Markelle Fultz would like to be traded, should the Portland Trail Blazers take a chance on the young guard?

Markelle Fultz has had one of the most baffling careers in NBA history thus far. He was a fantastic shooter and scorer at Washington. The Philadelphia 76ers made a deal with the Boston Celtics to trade up to select Fultz first overall in the 2017 NBA Draft. Being a 41.3% three point shooter in college, Fultz seemed to be an ideal fit with Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid. However, Fultz injured his shoulder before his rookie season began. When Fultz was cleared for shooting, his shot looked different. He suddenly had a strange release and had seemingly abandoned what made him successful in college. The season progressed and well the situation never improved. To make matters worse, Jayson Tatum was thriving for the Celtics.

It is evident that something is still wrong with Fultz’s shoulder and his shot will not be normal until it is properly healed. Something had to change.

On Wednesday Derek Bodner of the Athletic reported that Fultz’s shoulder will be examined on Monday and that he would prefer to be traded:

This is obviously a very complicated situation, and it is probably for the best if all parties move on. But should the Portland Trail Blazers try to acquire Fultz? He is still only 20 years old. If his shoulder heals, then he would be the same Markelle Fultz who was selected first overall just little over a year ago.

Here are some trade ideas if the Blazers get involved.
