Portland Trail Blazers: 3 takeaways from their triumph over the Bucks
By Doug Patrick
CJ McCollum has returned
Through the first 10 games of the season, CJ McCollum has been mostly “meh.” But tonight against the Bucks, CJ looks like he’s finally shaken off any rust.
He went for 40 points on 65.4 percent shooting from the floor. He also dropped six dimes, grabbed five rebounds, hit five three-pointers, and did Donte Divincenzo dirty with a big crossover:
This was exactly the type of performance CJ needed. The Blazers have been an impressive team thus far, but they have yet to hit their ceiling. Of course, we’ll hope that doesn’t happen too soon – but in the meantime, we also hope to see McCollum go off like this regularly.
I can’t wait until we get the first huge Lillard and McCollum game of the season.
