5 Takeaways from Portland Trail Blazers vs Utah Jazz
By Doug Patrick
Blazers need to be cleaner with the ball
The Blazers were oftentimes careless with the ball this game. They ended with 26 turnovers off 16 Utah steals – and with numbers like that, it’s a testament to just how high-powered their offense was and how good Nurkic was at cleaning up collapses.
There were forced, overly-aggressive passes. There were also a lot of fumbled passes on cuts that sacrificed easy buckets at the rim.
They can’t do all the work to get inside only to be given a bad pass or take their eyes off the ball. This will need to get cleaned up in their next game, otherwise they won’t stand a chance against the tough Western Conference if they’re constantly losing the turnover battle.
