Buying back into Leonard

It’s tempting to reinvest in Leonard this season. After all, the Blazers will need him to be good if they have any hope of repeating their prowess from last year.

However, there’s just not enough to go on to fully know whether or not Leonard will surprise or disappoint.

If I was a real estate agent, I’d tell you to keep looking around the neighborhood for a player that’s a surer thing. If you come back around still with no one you’re excited about, then hopefully we’ll know more about Leonard at that point – whether he can renovate his defensive effectiveness and fight on the glass while maintaining his effectiveness as a shooter.

But the last thing you want to do is buy in too soon and be stuck on Leonard Island by yourself.
