In the Portland Trail Blazers first preseason game against the Toronto Raptors, Meyers Leonard and Zach Collins played a bulk of their minutes together. This tandem could spell trouble for the Blazers season…

While the Portland Trail Blazers fell to the Toronto Raptors, 122-104, there were plenty of promising aspects to their 2018-19 debut. Ball movement was much improved, Evan Turner looked good as a backup facilitator, and the rookies performed admirably against the Raptors’ first-team.

One thing that did not look so great: the pairing of Meyers Leonard and Zach Collins in the front court.

Sure, Leonard scored a team-high 14 points on very good shooting, including three three-pointers – one of which resulted in a four-point play.

And Collins snagged six rebounds, nearly double from his season average last year (3.3).

However, neither player looked strong on the interior on either side of the floor.
