5 ways to make the NBA more interesting, challenging, exciting and fun

A Four-Point Line!

If reducing court size is the least likely to happen, I think a four-point line is most likely to be implemented. Let’s face it: Some of these modern ballers can make shots from distances that — just a generation ago — would have seemed like desperation heaves and prayers.

But for players like Steph Curry and Damian Lillard, these deep-deep-deep threes are regular parts of their arsenals.

Let’s extend the game to its outer boundaries and start rewarding players for being able to hit shots from the nosebleeds.

If it’s good enough for the Harlem Globetrotters and the fellas in the BIG3, then it’s good enough for me. (Make it an arc, though — not those silly bubbles the BIG3 uses.)

A four-point line would make the final few minutes of games more interesting, that’s for sure. No lead would be secure!
