The 2017-2018 Blazers

So, as we’ve learned, that ’90-’91 team’s 16-game win streak remains the longest in Portland Trail Blazers history.

While the current Blazers don’t come close to matching up man-to-man with that earlier squad — perhaps the best team in Blazers history, despite not winning a title — this year’s Damian Lillard-led unit is certainly capable of winning 17 games in a row.

But it ain’t gonna be easy. Winning that many games in a row is a tremendous feat — no matter who the opponents are, which is why so few franchises have ever done it.

Next: What fuels the Blazers' win streak: offense or defense?

The Road Ahead

In order for the Blazers to surpass the franchise record for wins in a row, they’ll have to beat the following teams on the following dates in the following locations:

Detroit Pistons (Saturday, March 17, Moda Center, Portland)

Los Angeles Clippers (Sunday, March 18, STAPLES Center, Los Angeles)

Houston Rockets (Tuesday, March 20, Moda Center, Portland)

Boston Celtics (Friday, March 23, Moda Center, Portland)

Oklahoma City Thunder (Sunday, March 25, Chesapeake Energy Arena, Oklahoma City)

New Orleans Pelicans (Tuesday, March 27, Smoothie King Center, New Orleans)

What do you think, Rip City? Can the Blazers win 17 in a row?
