Beginning of ’90-’91 Season
Portland acquired Danny Ainge in the 1990 offseason — and picked up right where it left off.
The Blazers won their first 11 games of the 1990-1991 season to stretch their franchise winning streak to 15.
In fact, that Trail Blazers squad started the ’90-’91 season on a 27-3 tear, eventually finishing with a franchise record 63 wins, which also led the league that year.
They lost to the Los Angeles Lakers in the Western Conference Finals — but not before winning more games in a row than any team in Trail Blazers history.
That feat would take place toward the end of that same ’90-’91 season.
