LAMARCUS ALDRIDGE

Only Clyde Drexler (10) made more All-Star teams as a Portland Trail Blazer than LaMarcus Aldridge (four). The sweet-shooting, 6-foot-11-inch Texan also made the All-Rookie First Team in 2007 alongside teammate Brandon Roy.

Thereafter, Aldridge proceeded to stake his claim as one of the premier power forwards in the NBA, making four consecutive All-Star rosters (tied with Sidney Wicks for second-most All-Star appearances as a Trail Blazer).

The second overall pick out of the University of Texas in 2006, Aldridge is the Trail Blazers’ all-time leading rebounder with 5,434 boards. And he’s near the top of the list in a host of other categories: games played, field goals, blocked shots, win shares. He’s also second on the Trail Blazers’ all-time scoring list with 12,562 points.

Although his departure from the Trail Blazers in 2015 left some fans feeling jilted, there is no doubt that Aldridge is one of the greatest players to ever don a Trail Blazers uni.

Maybe those jilted fans can get some satisfaction knowing that Aldridge was the last player picked in this year’s inaugural 2018 NBA All-Star draft.
