Game Flow

First Quarter

The Trail Blazers looked even fresher in their new jerseys on the court than they did in pictures.

The game got started with Evan Turner and Zach Lavine trading jumpers. Then, Portland took off. They scored 18 unanswered points to start off the game.

Behind 28 (!!) points from CJ McCollum alone, the Trail Blazers led 43-19 at the end of the first quarter. He was 11-of-14 from the floor and 4-of-5 from three-point land. His shots were falling with ease, and his game was smooth as butter. That quarter was historic.

A few of McCollum’s shots came via crisp assists from both Turner and Damian Lillard. No other Blazer was in double-figures, and no player on Chicago was either.
