It’s no secret that the Portland Trail Blazers have a hard time getting big name players to come play for them. They acquire most big names through the draft.

Just ask their President of Operations Neil Olshey.

"“It’s absolutely a hurdle,’’ Olshey said of Portland’s ability to attract free agents. “Whenever we break the ice on that and get the first guy to come, it will be unprecedented when you look at the history.’’"

The Blazers have had some great talent suit up for them. Names like,

Bill Walton, Bob Gross, Clyde Drexler, Jerome Kersey, Arvydas Sabonis, Jermaine O’Neal, Zach Randolph, LaMarcus Aldridge, Brandon Roy, Damian Lillard and C.J McCollum.

What do all these guys have in common? They were all drafted by the Blazers.

If the Portland Trail Blazers want to bring in another great talent or superstar, they are gonna have to draft them.

This 2018 draft class has some great talent in it and the Blazers should look to grab one of these potential superstars.

Getting any one of these players would require a very high lottery pick in the draft. While Portland isn’t a shoe-in for the playoffs, the only way they’ll get one of them is through trading of players and picks. Keep this in mind while reading.
