Is help even possible?
George or Porzingis could be the player(s) to get the Blazers to the next level and be a contender.
But how could Portland acquire one of these guys and how would they fit the Blazers?
The easier fit would be Porzingis, just the fact that he has two more years on his rookie deal. The Blazers would have to move more guys to bring in Paul George and his 39 million dollar contract the next 2 years. (Via Basketball Reference)
Luckily the Blazers have equipped themselves nicely to make moves. They have 3 first round picks in this Junes NBA Draft. Olshey in his exit meeting said that “The 3 draft picks give us a lot of flexibility, not just in acquiring players through the draft. But as tools to get deals done”

They also signed their young guys to bigger deals. It’s easier to get trades done when more money is being moved. Allen Crabbe–Meyers Leonard–Evan Turner–Moe Harkless are all possible trade assets this summer.
President of Operations, Neil Olshey and Owner Paul Allen should be paying attention to their two franchise guys. It should send a message to management that this team is ready to win now.
