3.) Dame Blazes Past the Heat

Lillard stepping up on the road trip was a recurring theme.

After wins against the Suns, Spurs, and Hawks, the Blazers had a chance to go 4-1 on the trip. They had been tested already, and running out of gas would have been very possible.

Well, so much for that.

Lillard took his extra gas and lit the Heat up. Dame had 49 points—a season high—on 9-12 shooting from three.

The game featured a milestone for the guard, who became the first Blazer ever to score 1,000 threes with the team.

Unlike Westbrook-ian performances, Dame’s teammates got in on the action as well. Nurkić had 21 points; McCollum added in 18; even Vonleh had 11 points.

The Heat stood no chance of cooling Dame, as the Blazers capped off a magnificent road trip with a 115-104 win.
