What a Day!

Let’s start with our Blazers and their blowout victory to keep them in the playoff hunt.

C.J. McCollum led the way with 32 points, while Damian Lillard and Jusuf Nurkic rested the entire fourth quarter.

The Minnesota Timberwolves came into Portland on the second night of a back to back. Needless to say, they never were able to find their offensive footing, falling to the Portland Trail Blazers 112-100.

The final score doesn’t do the game justice; the Blazers controlled this game from the start. Jumping out to a 27-21 lead in the first quarter, Portland just built on their great shooting and never looked back. The Blazers were so hot, they ended the game shooting 62.5% from the field!

This game puts Portland back to just one game back of the final spot in the Western Conference Playoffs. Denver however continues to stay afloat after impressive victories against the Cavaliers and Pacers this past week. Now with ten games left in the season, it’s undoubtedly win or go home mode for Portland.

Gonzaga reached it’s first Final Four in school history, giving Mark Few a much deserved trip to the NCAA’s biggest stage. Joining them will be the Oregon Mens team after upsetting Kansas in Kansas City! It’s their first trip to the Final Four since 1939!

Then to cap off the good news, the 10th seeded Oregon Duck Women made their first elite eight in school history!

It’s a good day to be a basketball fan in the PNW!
