Allen Crabbe

Pick #31 – 2013 NBA Draft

Career Stats – 7.0 PPG / 1.0 APG / 2.0 RPG / .447 FG% / .385 3P%

Allen Crabbe was one of the many Trail Blazers players that blossomed during the 2015-16 campaign. He nearly doubled his minutes compared to his previous season, which directly translated to his break-out season. Crabbe’s contributions off of the bench were crucial to Portland’s surprising playoff run.

Crabbe is able to guard multiple positions on defense, which usually means he is tasked with guarding the opposition’s most dangerous player. On top of his defense, he is the perfect sidekick to Portland’s stellar guard tandem. Crabbe is able to knock down shots from anywhere on the court.

Olshey’s ability to snag Crabbe in the second round is what is truly impressive. Even though Crabbe was highly successful at Cal, he wasn’t a first round target. The Trail Blazers quickly worked out a trade with the Cavs to gain the rights to Crabbe.

Like Leonard, Crabbe’s future is up in the air. With the salary cap going up, his asking price might become too high for the Trail Blazers to match.
