The Trail Blazers will receive a bump from their bench.

The Blazers will win game three because our bench will come to play. Game two was a horrible representation of Portland’s bench after scoring just 10 points. Gerald Henderson and Allen Crabbe need to knock down some shots in order to give Portland any chance at winning.

In game three, I see our team being reinvigorated by the home crowd and returning to the team first mentality that got them here in the first place. Our bench excelled during the season by sharing the ball and finding open teammates. Granted, the Clippers defense has been very good in the first two games, however we’ve been able to find players for jump shots that just aren’t falling. With the confidence boost of returning to Portland, I see a lot of missed opportunities from the first two games turning into easy baskets in game three.

The defense should step up as well. I know Jamal Crawford is dangerous and that he will give Los Angeles points from the bench, however there is no reason why Cole Aldrich and Austin Rivers should combine for 17 points. Coach Stotts will not let that happen again.

The Blazers will win game three because they will outscore Los Angeles’ bench 35-20.
