6. The New Guys

There were a lot of new faces at the start of the season and all of them had one thing in common: under valued.

Let’s just do some rapid fire here. Al-Farouq Aminu was an afterthought in Dallas for most of the season, Mason Plumlee had to play behind Brook Lopez, Ed Davis was trying his best on a terrible Laker team, both Gerald Henderson and Noah Vonleh battled injuries in Charlotte, and Maurice Harkless was a ghost in Orlando.

Each one of those players mentioned have given Portland numerous highlights and game winning performances that just seem radical when compared to last year.

All the new additions have played crucial roles to our success, whether it’s from the bench or as a starter. All of them came with a clean slate and a chance to prove themselves and all of them succeeded tremendously. Most notably, Plumlee, Davis, Henderson and Harkless have become fan favorites and crucial ingredients for the Blazers high powered offense.

There is no way Portland makes the playoffs without the new guys defying expectations.
