3.) Damian Lillard

Best Season: 2015-16* – 25.9 PPG / .428 FG%

Portland is currently witnessing one of the most impressive runs ever made by a Trail Blazers player. Lillard has reached the 50 point mark twice this season, and is primed to do it a third time before the season closes out. He has always been able to hit shots from long range, but now he has added to his arsenal. The offense now revolves around him and he is able to drive to the basket a lot more (instead of spacing the floor). These efforts have translated to a higher scoring output and resulted in more trips to the free throw line. Lillard is currently averaging 6.2 attempts per game, a number that is well above his previous career high of 5.2 attempts per game.

Luckily for the Trail Blazers, Lillard’s time in Portland is just beginning. Next year will mark the first year on his new five year contract extension. After the amazing stretch he has had this season it is hard to imagine him getting snubbed for the All-Star Game next year.
