The Phoenix Suns
Dysfunction is not a strong enough word to describe the current climate in Phoenix. Markieff Morris just received a two game suspension for his latest run in with Jeff Hornacek. This isn’t the only major problem for the Suns, Tyson Chandler has begun to show his age despite recently signing a 4 year 52 million dollar contract. Add these problems in with a 12-19 record and you have a recipe for a major roster change.
Potential Trade Parts:
Markieff Morris – The troubled twin continues to struggle on and off the court in Phoenix. No player in the league is in more desperate need of a scenery change. His continued trouble with the Suns front office only lowers his trade value. His versatility would be a welcome addition to the Terry Stotts system. The biggest risk would be banking on an attitude change from the volatile forward. The last thing the Trail Blazers want is a disruption in the growing chemistry currently underway in Portland.
Mirza Teletovic / Jon Leuer – There is a reason these two players are combined. Both guys stand a shade below seven feet, and both are shooting at or above .400 from three point land. With Meyers Leonard struggling, don’t be surprised if Neil Olshey is actively seeking a deep shooting power forward.
