Buy Low Candidates
The Meyers Leonard experiment might be drawing to a close. The big man from Illinois has yet to retake his starting spot from Noah Vonleh. Leonard’s shooting percentages are at a career low. Portland was banking on his deep shooting to open up the offense this year, but his .225 shooting from beyond the arc has been a real problem. It doesn’t mean that he doesn’t have a market for his services though. Leonard is an athletic seven footer who could thrive in the right situation. Hopefully that place is Portland, but he could easily become someone else’s project.

Maurice Harkless was the darling of the first ten games this season. It was beginning to look like Portland completely robbed Orlando, but things have changed a bit since then. Allen Crabbe has become a real NBA threat, resulting in scarce rotational minutes for Harkless. At only 22 years old, Harkless still offers a lot of potential for a team looking to add some flair to their wing depth.
Both players offer contract flexibility to a potential buyer, as both players are headed for restricted free agency this offseason. Nothing super special here though. Asset Grade: C
