7.) Mychal Thompson

Pick: #1 1978 NBA Draft

Before Thompson became a famous father of pro athletes, he was a Trail Blazer. Portland selected the University of Minnesota center with the first pick in the 1978 draft. He ranks atop the Blazers all time list for blocks and comes in at number four in rebounds.

Thompson manned the paint for the Blazers in the post Bill Walton era. His defense and tenacity made him a fan favorite in Portland. After a brief stint with the Spurs, Thompson found himself on the title winning Lakers of the late eighties.
