Notice how Mo Williams is wearing number 25 in the picture above? It wasn’t always going to be that way. Upon his signing in with the Trail Blazers, the back up point guard unveiled his fresh number seven jersey. This was never going to fly with the Portland fan base.
Earl Watson eventually gave up his number, conceding to Williams. The official story was Watson conceded the number by being a nice guy, definitely not a product of Williams forcing anyones hand.
