I can’t get a good read on Ed Davis. One game, he gets a double-double and the entire fan base(including me) calls for him to start over Leonard/Vonleh. Then the next game, he plays less than 20 minutes and barely contributes in any major category. Is this Davis being inconsistent? Or is this Terry Stotts not trusting him enough to give him more minutes? I think it’s a combination of both. Davis doesn’t always look engaged on the offensive end, and sometimes that results in lower scoring outputs (see the game against Lakers in which he took only 3 shots for 4 points). On the other hand, Stotts seems reluctant to supply him with 30+ minutes in consecutive games. In his past 5 games, he’s played 18, 31, 18, 35, and 24 minutes respectively. In the games in which he totaled over 30 minutes, he averaged 14.5 points and 14 rebounds. Give him the minutes, Terry!
