After the first game of the year, I was tempted to move McCollum to #1 in our power rankings right on the spot. Luckily, I waited, and order has been restored. 22.7 points per game is nice, but we’ve come accustomed to it with Dame. What really stands out to me is his 8.3 assists he’s been dishing out. For a guy with a career average of 6 assists a game, an improvement of over 2 is quite impressive.
