Wesley Matthews
The Sacramento Kings have offered Matthews a 4yr/$64M deal that exceeds the guard’s desired salary range. They were able to create space for the pursuit by trading Carl Landry, Jason Thompson, and Nik Stauskas to the Philadelphia 76ers.

However, the Dallas Mavericks are believed to be the favorites to sign Matthews. Until the Mavericks have a definitive yes or no from free agent center DeAndre Jordan, there is unlikely to be any movement from Matthews. Although they do not intend to offer Matthews the same kind of money that the Kings are offering, they hope he will prioritize a better situation over monetary gains.
