I have mocked Admiral Schofield to the Portland Trail Blazers for awhile now. It just makes too much sense.
The Blazers are an excellent offensive team, but they are far too inconsistent defensively, especially on the perimeter. Schofield is extremely strong for a 6’6″ wing at 241 pounds. He is elite defensively due to his size and instincts.
Schofield competes on both sides. His energy was not matched throughout college basketball. There are only a few players with that kind of motor in the league, and he could join the rotation right away.
Offensively, Schofield is more of a question mark. He will likely not be a go to scorer at the next level, but he has increased his three-point percentage every season at Tennessee. He shot 41.8% from deep in his senior season. If he can continue to shoot the ball well at the next level, Schofield could be a valuable three-and-d player for the Blazers.
