Coby White could very well turn into a steal. He has elite speed and seems to keep getting better as the season progresses. He recorded 33 points and 6 assists in a win over Miami last Saturday.
White is at his best in transition and has proved himself to be a better playmaker at North Carolina than anticipated. He has done a great job as getting teammates involved and always pushes the tempo.
In addition, he has shown promise as a shooter connecting on 37.9% of his three-point attempts and 81.4% of his free throws.
Indiana could use another point guard. Darren Collison and Cory Joseph are not long term answers. White and rookie Aaron Holiday would give the Pacers two exciting prospects at that position. White’s 6’5″ size and shooting ability could even allow him to play off the ball for stretches.
