Dame and CJ are clutch

Well, it wasn’t ever any secret, but Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum proved once again why they’re the guys you want with the ball in their hands when the game matters most. In the final moments of a tied game, Lillard hit one of his patented long range bombs to put the Blazers up three.

Only seconds later, he came down the floor to find a wide open McCollum to seal the deal. The pair worked perfectly off each other in this sequence, showing the benefit of having two high-powered closers at your disposal from night-to-night.

With Lillard such a threat to put games away, the entire Wolves defense shifted onto him, leaving KAT in no-man’s land, and CJ with more than enough space for the dagger.

There was nothing the Timberwolves could do. It was a solid performance for the entire Blazers team throughout, and when things got close, Portland’s stars ensured they walked out of the Moda Center with a W.

Coming up next, the Blazers take on the Houston Rockets on December 11 at 5:00 P.S.T.
