Russell Westbrook made his season debut against the Sacramento Kings last night, but he wasn’t enough to get the job done, as the Thunder slips to 0-3 after a 131-120 defeat against the Kings. OKC started their season with a 108-100 loss in Golden State, before heading down the coast to play the LA Clippers. The Thunder would lose to the Clippers 108-92. The Thunder are in serious trouble, and in a challenging Northwest Division and Western Conference, their margin of error is already narrowing.

OKC is struggling in all aspects of their game. The Thunder is the lowest ranked offense in the Association, and the 17th ranked defense in the season. Oklahoma City is also the worst team in the league in shooting percentage, three-point shooting percentage, true shooting percentage, and effective shooting percentage. The absence of Westbrook has hurt this offense, and the team desperately needs him to step up soon if the Thunder want to make a playoff push.

Oklahoma City (0-3) host the Boston Celtics and the Phoenix Suns this week.

After a week of basketball, the Northwest Division has once again proven they are the toughest division in basketball. This division will be a slugfest all season.
