LIONEL HOLLINS

Lionel Hollins was Mr. Everything for the Portland Trail Blazers, especially during their championship season. An All-Star in 1978, the L-Train was also on the NBA’s All-Rookie First Team (1976) and a member of the NBA’s All-Defensive First Team (1978). His No. 14 jersey was retired by the Blazers in 2007.

Selected sixth overall out of Arizona State in the 1975 NBA draft, Hollins averaged 13.9 points per game during five seasons for the Trail Blazers. In his lone All-Star game appearance, he scored 10 points and dished out eight assists in 23 minutes.

Hollins was traded to the Philadelphia 76ers in 1980. He has remained active in the Association and was head coach of both the Memphis Grizzlies and the Brooklyn Nets.
