1.) Blazers, Nurkić wish Denver ‘a happy summer’

The legend of this game should be told for centuries.

Portland and Denver entered locked in the eighth-seed race. To further add on to the pressure, both teams were tied in records. A loss would mean a one-game lead for either side.

The playoff story was the main focus, but the subplot of revenge loomed as well.

Mason Plumlee and Nurkić were set to take on their former teams in the thick of a playoff race. The ability to embarrass your former team—and hurt their playoff chances—hung right in front of them.

Well, only one of them took the initiative—and it wasn’t Plumlee.

The former Duke big man had zero—yes zero—points in over 16 minutes. Denver still won that trade huh Nuggets fans? (The answer is no, not a chance, absolutely not.)

While Plumlee was shut down, Nurkić brought the house down.

He dropped a career-high 33 points on his former team and threw in 16 rebounds for good measure.

Revenge is a dish best served with an all-time diss:

Mic drop.

The recent injury hurts momentum, but the Blazers do have some options to go to with Nurk out.

Thanks big fella for this month, one of the most fun the Blazers have ever had.
