5.) Mason Plumlee (Last Month: 6)

Last ten games: 8.7 PPG / 2.8 APG / 6.0 RPG

Best game: 1/10 vs OKC – 11 PTS / 4 AST / 11 REB

Plumlee has had an up and down month so far. The high was his superb performance against the talented front court of the Thunder, the low coming in a forgettable contest against the tough Grizzlies. Plumlee continues to get under the skin of opponents (it seriously looks like his opponents hate him). If only his toughness translated into better rim protection.

Plumlee did reach is highest point total as a Trail Blazer this month (19 points vs LAC). It was roller-coaster month that he will likely want to put behind him though. He can certainly beat his two double doubles on the month going forward.

6.) Meyers Leonard (Last Month: 7)

Last ten games: 9.2 PPG / .436 3P% / 5.4 REB

Best game: 1/18 vs WSH – 18 PTS / 2 AST / 4 REB

Don’t look now, but Meyers Leonard is playing up to expectations. Leonard has come alive in the last ten games, shooting an effective .500 from the field. Much was made in the off season about him being in the 40/50/90 club and he finally reached (exceeded) those numbers this month.

He still hasn’t reclaimed his spot with the starters and it might not be happening anytime soon. Leonard and Ed Davis compliment each other nicely off of the bench. Expect his minutes to increase as his play continues to improve.
