Portland’s own Damian Lillard won the NBA Social MVP award for his interaction with fans on Twitter and Facebook. He was up against LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and Chris Paul in the voting, which makes the accolade that much more impressive. The decision was put to a fan vote and Lillard (452K followers) was at a distinct disadvantage against James (13.3M followers), Durant (7.4M followers), and Paul (3.3M followers). However; Rip City came through for him and he was rewarded for his involvement in the online community. Congratulations, Damian!
