Mo Williams to Join NBA TV as Analyst for WCF Game 3

Mo Williams announced via Instagram that he will be joining Steve Smith, Brent Barry, and Rick Kamlan for pre-game and post-game analysis of Game 3 in the Western Conference Finals. This will be Williams’ first time working behind a desk for the NBA, but it is unlikely to be his last. Although he will not retire from basketball for at least three more years, he included the hashtag “Next Phase When I’m Done” in his announcement.

Game 3 between the San Antonio Spurs and Oklahoma City Thunder is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. PDT on Sunday, May 25th. I am eager to see a preview of Williams as an NBA analyst. Although his in-game contributions can be spotty at times, he’s one of my favorite players to listen to off the court. It’s not just his soothing Alabama drawl – Williams is an intelligent, well-spoken guy with vast knowledge of the game.

The game itself will be broadcast on TNT, but be sure to tune in to NBA TV ahead of time before switching over. All we have heard from Williams lately has been about opting out of his contract to become a free agent, so a change of pace should be nice.
