2013-14 Trail Blazers Tickets: Top 5 Home Games

Terry Stotts enters his second season with the Trail Blazers as they attempt to stop a two-season streak of missing the playoffs. By bringing in Robin Lopez, Mo Williams and Thomas Robinson this past offseason, Portland has put together a team with a decent chance of sneaking into the 2014 playoffs. With that in mind, it’s not much of a surprise that Portland Trail Blazers tickets are averaging $125 per game, a 44% increase over last year’s $87 per contest. Here are the five most expensive NBA games at the Moda Center this season:

1) December 28th – Miami Heat – Average Price: $340 – Get-in Price: $80 – 172% Above Home Average

LeBron James and the Miami Heat will be coming to the Rose City for the final Trail Blazers home game before the calendar turns to 2014. Miami’s high-powered offense will be in full display, but the Blazers have kept the reigning two-time champions in check recently. You can see Portland look to do the same for the get-in price of $80.

2) December 12th – Houston Rockets – Average Price: $247 – Get-in Price: $28 – 98% Above Home Average

In early November, the Houston Rockets and the Dwight Howard circus comes to town. We are not sure for what reason, but the big man will be in the news for something when he comes to Portland. You can also see James Harden and Jeremy Lin as well for the average ticket price of $247, or the surprisingly low get-in price of $28.

3) March 3rd – Los Angeles Lakers – Average Price: $246 – Get-in Price: $46 – 97% Above Home Average

How can you miss Kobe Bryant for the get-in price of $46? He, Pau Gasol, Steve Nash and the rest of the Los Angeles Lakers will be facing the Blazers in early March. The average price to see this contest is $246, which is 97 percent above the home average.

4) December 26th – Los Angeles Clippers – Average Price: $203 – Get-in Price: $45 – 62% Above Home Average

On the day after Christmas, the NBA schedule delivers Blazers fans a nice present: the Los Angeles Clippers. Chris Paul, Blake Griffin and Doc Rivers head to town as one of the Western Conference’s best teams. The average ticket price for this game is $203, which is 62 percent above the home average, but the get-in is only $45.

5) November 22nd – Chicago Bulls – Average Price: $196 – Get-in Price: $31 – 57% Above Home Average

For the shockingly low get-in price of $31, you can see Derrick Rose in his first game in Portland since February 2011. This will be your only chance to see the Blazers host Rose, Joakim Noah, Luol Deng and the rest of the Chicago Bulls at the Moda Center this season.

The Blazers will most likely be fighting for a playoff spot, so this could buck a trend for Stotts, who has not lasted more than two seasons in any destination as head coach. For the best deals on your seats, be sure to get your Portland Trail Blazers tickets now at TiqIQ.com.
