While it would have been an absolutely bigger deal if Drexler wasn't in the game, the loss of Porter is confounding. Surely they could have gotten him contractually? And if they couldn't, subsequent versions of the original NBA Jam had Cliff Robinson and Rod Strickland - they would have made fine alternates. Or why not bring in the master of the overstatement - Bill Walton? As far as Drexler Rockets style, I can swear I saw a game play video some time ago that had Olajuwon and Drexler playing on the same team.
