Blazers National TV Games for Opening Day, Christmas announced

Today, NBATV and NBA.com released the National TV schedule for Opening Week (October 26th-November 2nd), Christmas Day and Martin Luther King Day. For those interested, the Blazers are currently slated to have two TV appearances during Opening Week and one on Christmas Day. Here are the Blazers games that have been released by the NBA:

Oct. 27th – 7:30 PM PT – Blazers @ Clippers – ESPN

Nov. 1st – 5 PM PT – Blazers @ Bulls – NBA TV

December 25th 7:30 PM PT – Blazers @ Warriors – ESPN

It’s interesting to see the Blazers get such early national love. Perhaps Blazers fans had grown accustomed to it not happening. Portland’s game at the Clippers is a part of ESPN’s first doubleheader of the regular season. Portland’s Christmas home game will mark their 3rd straight appearance on the big stage. Despite the planned 5-game slate and Portland being the night cap, it’s a big honor for the Blazers to be put on that Christmas Day national stage. The interesting part about of all this is all three games are slated to be away from the Rose Garden.
