Breaking: Blazers trade Martell Webster for Luke Babbitt and Ryan Gomes

From Adrian Wojnarowski on Twitter:

Portland has a deal with Minnesota to select Luke Babbitt for Blazers with the 16th pick, league source tells Y!

Going out is Martell Webster, per Chad Ford:

The Wolves will trade Babbitt to the Blazers for Martell Webster! Kevin Pritchard strikes again!!!

And confirmed by Joe Freeman:

A source has confirmed with The O that the Blazers have traded Martell Webster to Minny for Luke Babbitt.

No word on whether the trade included the No. 22 pick or not.

Jason Quick with last words from Kevin Pritchard?

Kevin Pritchard says Babbitt is a Blazer. “You’ll love him,” he says

Ford says Pritchard, despite this being confirmed as his last draft, was the man behind the deal.

UPDATE: Ric Bucher just said on television that the Blazers will also get Ryan Gomes in the deal. Gomes has only a partially guaranteed contract, and it’s been said the Miami Heat have been after Gomes’ deal in their attempt to dump Michael Beasley. If Gomes is waived before June 30, only $2.7 million of the $13.8 million possible remaining on his deal will remain.

Here is Babbit’s profile on Draftexpress.com. He is ranked No. 7 overall on John Hollinger’s Draft Rater. And a Draft Media Day video from DX:

Topics: ESPN, Kevin Pritchard, Luke Babbitt, Minnesota Timberwolves, Nba Draft 2010, NBA Trade, Portland Trail Blazers, Ryan Gomes
