New Orleans on Sunday asks and is granted permission to speak with Blazers assistant Monty Williams for head position.
It would be a shame to lose Monty, as a number of players appear to have built relationships with him, but this is how things go. If you’re a good assistant coach, you get interviews for head coaching positions.
